Actually, there are a lot of kinds, like Chrome, Polished Brass, Stainless, Satin Brass, Brushed Nickel, Matte Black, Gold, etc.

In this article, I’m going to focus on the three most known and most seen: CHROME, SATIN, and BLACK MATTE.

 

SATIN: Also known as brushed, and it’s obtained by forming lines on the surface of an object using an abrasive product. How to identify it? We can compare it with the chrome one, and we’ll see that it is not so bright, but more a grain-like and grooved appearance.

 

 

 

MATTE BLACK: This finish is achieved by a layer of paint in black, beyond the sophisticated appearance, this layer also brings a protective effect, it can resist wear and corrosion in daily use. But, it’s so important not to use acidic or abrasive detergents and wire brushes in the process of treatment to avoid damaging the surface of the faucet. How to identify it? As the meaning of “matte”, the surface is not bright, it’s an elegant and minimalist black.
